Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MAWe are searching for a MRI Technologist to perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
Obtain pertinent information from patient's chart and document all data within the EHR.
Educate patient for exam.
Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
Apply the principles of MR safety to minimize risk to patient, self and others and aware of the principles of ALARA.
Assist physicians in performing procedures.
Provide functional or technical supervision of radiology aides (imaging assistants), other assigned non-technical employees and other practitioners, as applicable.
Provide supervision and instruction to assigned affiliating students.
Assist with ongoing quality assurance activities as assignedEducation and/or Experience Requirements:
Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology or Magnetic Resonance Imaging Attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility, or for RT(R)s and RT(N)s attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Magnetic Resonance Imaging RT(MR), within one year of eligibility.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
