Unit Manager

Wareham Healthcare is currently seeking a Full Time Unit Manager (RN).

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the DON/ADON the unit manager will deliver effective and efficient nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident and family satisfaction. Unit manager must display excellent communication with co-workers and families, while providing oversight to staff on unit and teamwork with all departments on a daily basis. Must be able to collaborate with the nursing team and other disciplines, residents, and families to develop effective plans of care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote the recruitment, retention, development and continuing education of nursing staff members.
  • Commitment to Quality Care
  • Promotes compliance in performance of job responsibilities by monitoring employee s performance, and identifying and responding appropriately to misconduct
  • Manages area of responsibility with the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest quality of care possible.
  • Recommends plans for staff training and development using quality assurance indicators, incident report investigations, and direct observation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • LPN or RN, experience preferred
  • Current MA nursing license


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
